Lasting moments…
Yeah…about that. Well, it’s been a while since I’ve posted here…and well, there’s good reason for that. Life has been pretty crazy busy lately and will be even more crazy busy the rest of this week.
Friday was a lot of fun. I finished up my classes and worked on a little homework. Then got to spend some time with that one person in that one mod again. Yes, I am speaking of the wonderful and the beautiful Laura. We watched Oceans Eleven because neither of us had seen it in a while. It was good to refresh that movie in my mind. The quality time with Laura was much appreciated and it’s good to be getting to know her better. As school is still a priority in my life, I try to find time to spend with Laura. I am finally realizing how much I miss my family now. Even when my sisters live 5 minutes away and my brother-in-law 5 minutes away, I still miss them. I want to be able to see them more than just once a week at church. Seeing my mother and father has become important to me now because I rarely get to see them.
Laura has been a great influence on my life in just the short amount of time she has spent with me. It has only been a little over 2 months now that we’ve known each other, and yet we still have soo much to learn about each other. It’s amazing to think about how many people there are in the world. Each person lives a different life. Different amounts of time are spent doing different things. If you try to think about how much time has been spent living, from everyone in the world, it’s almost uncomprehensible. But when someone is given the privilege of learning more about someone, it’s very special.
Well, enough about Friday. Saturday rolled around and the weekend just seemed to be moving quickly already. Saturday came and we conqueror. Conquered the mall that is. We ventured off to the Westfield mall in Arcadia. This was one of larger malls I’ve been to, in comparison to the Mall of America. I picked up quite a few things that I needed, so it was good to go shopping. We had a good lunch and actually saw Laura and Jessie’s roommate Katie there. After getting back from the mall around 6 or 7pm, we ran through to get some for dinner. We then went back and Laura and I hung out a little bit more. Sleepy time rolled around and we parted our separate ways.
Sunday was next on the list of days to come. This was a very eventful and learning day. I attended Newsong again with Laura, Jessie, Katie, and Aaron. It was an interesting service, very different than I’m used to. After the service was over, we decided to go to Olive Garden for Lunch. It was a little rushed to get out the door to get Aaron back to work, but that was okay because we had a great time anyway. After getting back from church and lunch, Laura and I decided to go for a small drive. We have recently discovered the Azusa Canyon Road and mountain area (thanks to one of Laura’s friends). We then turned back and went over to the park to talk about some things. It’s so good to be able to have deep conversations with someone such as Laura. After returning from talking and hanging out…I started my history rough draft for my analysis paper. The night roles around and I have most of my paper finished. Sleep comes…sleep goes…weird how that happens :/grin/:
Monday comes…uggg the Monday blues. Oh how I don’t like Mondays. I went to all my classes…accounting, math, PE, and History. After history though, we had a Monday Night Football event and we broadcasted the game live on the side of trinity hall. The half-time band was amazing and we got to meet them all. The band name was Jonas Day and they were very good.
