Small Boat Sinking
This past weekend I attended a concert put on by Small Boat Sinking. The band is composed a lot of my friends that I’ve gotten to know over the past almost 2 years. They played right after the Azusa vs. Biola game at 10pm at Smart City Grinds. It was a very good concert and SBS said that they would have a CD out by the end of the semester. My friend whom I work with with sound in chapels, Dale Becker, is helping produce the CD for them. If you ever get a chance to see them play, I highly recommend going. This band has changes names recently from Quality Vinyl to Small Boat Sinking, so if you hear of QV, they are the same band. You may also want to look them up on MySpace.com

Hmm exactly what type of band is SBS? Just curious. Glad they’re getting a cd out there they wouldn’t happen to have samples at Pure Volume would they? I’d like to hear some of their material. I’m a huge music freak so I’m always open to new bands ;)

Hey! Small Boat Sinking is a band that is sort of like hmm how can I compare them. A Christian soft rock I would say. I can put up a couple of of songs on my website soon once I ask them, or you can listen to a couple on their MySpace website. They are heavily into the acoustic sound and the organ as well. They have a mix of keys, organ, acoustic, eletric, accordian, bass, drums, computer synthesized loop (sometimes), and a straight up piano as well. It’s very easy on the ears and is fun to listen to. There were over 100 people at the small coffee shop.
You may want to check out Nural then if you’re a music freak. They just got signed and are really good. They have a purevolume site and a regular website, http://www.nuralmusic.com/ — Definitely worth checking out! Hope this was helpful. I will post if either band has a local concer coming up. Do you live in the area of SoCal? (Where both these bands reside in)

Yay for Small Boat Sinking! They did such an awesome job on Friday. Jonathan, did you find out about the tee shirts yet? See you at our soccer game tonight. I hope Exodus/Deuteronomy homework is going well. : )

BAH! Yeah, I did find out about the Tees. We just need to go to mod B8 and talk to Andrea to get them. $10 each, we just need to find the time to go talk to her. Let’s do it soon because I want one!!!!!
