Hail Storm
In the recent weather news, there is a hail storm moving into the Azusa area in California. We are expecting nickel-sized hail coming in from the Pasadena area that originally came from Los Angeles, I believe. We are currently experiencing massive rain, thunder, and lightening storms right now and we are expecting for this to continue until Wednesday.
Update: Rolling thunder, lightning, flooding
If you like rain storms, come over to APU then and enjoy them :) (Link to weather news)

I just came back from Wrightwood. All we had was a ton of snow. Here, we’re gonna have to deal with hail now? That’s even worse! I’m wondering if I should go out later for some dinner - will I get tore up?

Maybe. It’s still coming into the area. May not be here til tonight or tomorrow, but it’s supposed to be heading into this area right now. It was in Pasadena and they had a lot of damage, but who knows how fast it is moving. We had a quick flash-storm of rain and then it faded away. I don’t know how many times it will come and go, we’ll just have to see.

I hope it’s not too bad out there in Azusa. IMO, Arcadia isn’t looking too bad. I think I’ll go out to a sit-down restaurant with some friends anyways.

Yeah, I would. Apparently, we had just a little flooding and then it just bypassed I think. It was heavy, but then left. I’m not exactly sure what’s going on anymore. I hope it doesn’t hail anymore or rain like that.
Can you believe we have gotten over 35 inches of rain and we usually only get 8 inches on average? We got more rain this year than Seattle has. Pretty crazy huh :P

I definitely hope it lessens right away. I feel for the commuters to L.A. - I’m one of them on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays! Plus, our fields at KYL are totally getting messed up. They’re not ready for baseball.
Those stats are totally crazy…43 inches above average? Yikes!

Ah bummer. Yeah, I feel for them too. 43 above average is a little high actually, we’re running at 32 inches and growing right now. We usually get 8 inches, so we’re about 24 above normal right now. But I’m sure we will get higher than that and end up getting close to 45 or 50 for the year. April still hasn’t hit and more rains are sure to come.
