This morning, April 19th 2005, the new Pope for the Catholic Chuch was elected. The bells rang around 8:55am this morning and the new Pope was announced. The new pope for the Catholic Church is Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger of Germany, a long-time guardian of doctrinal orthodoxy.
Scotsman.com
“Dear brothers and sisters, after the great Pope John Paul II, the cardinals have elected me – a simple, humble worker in the vineyard of the Lord,†he said after being introduced by Chilean Cardinal Jorge Arturo Medina Estivez.
“The fact that the Lord can work and act even with insufficient means consoles me, and above all I entrust myself to your prayers,†the new pope said. “I entrust myself to your prayers.â€
It was quite an interesting process to see the black smoke and then the white smoke for the ceremony. Thousands of people were gathered outside the church where they annoucned the new Pope. Quite an exciting time to be living right in now.
In the recent news, Adobe has announced the purchase of Macromedia for $3.4billion. These software powerhouses are now one company which will dominate the software industry for graphics and video production. Flash is now under Adobe which is going to make for quitea change in style of a lot of the internet. This buy-out shocks me, but isn’t really surprise. I’m happy for Adobe that they are finally taking a step towards being the bigger company.
This morning was I watching the news and I saw this article. I thought about the teen’s family and the attacker’s family as well. This happened in Palmdale, California, not too long ago. Two young teenagers were at a baseball game and there was an attack. One player was teasing another player after the first loss of the season and the other boy backfired in such a way that will cause destruction to his life for years to come.
This death of the teenage boy has caused us, as US citizens and for parents to question this…
CNN.com: “That’s what’s so shocking and so appalling,” he said. “What happened? What did we miss as a community? What did we miss as parents?”
It makes me wonder as well how parents are raising their child. I personally feel that parents are raising their children very well, so what would be done differently to avoid this happening again? It makes one think…..what is this world coming to.
I was very sad about seeing this story on the news and I don’t want to see it again.
As I was looking through my music this morning, I saw the band Creed. It had been a while since I had heard them, so I turned them on. It got me thinking about what they had been up to. I know that they had recently split up and now are two different bands, but I still wanted to do some research on them. So I put Creed into Google and started looking around. I saw an article about Scott Stapp and ChristianityToday.com that was an interview. That looked quite interesting, so I started reading it.

I released a ported version of Top10/View Count plugin about a month ago. I ported it over from the txt file that Laughing Lizzard had into a plugin so that it was easier to use. It had some bugs in it, so I decided to create some more documentation which will help make it easier to use now. Below are some instructions about how to use the plugin.
Download: Top10.zip
First off what I did was I use phpMyAdmin to select my Wordpress database. After doing that, I select SQL to insert some SQL data. This code is for the view count part of the script. The SQL data you need to enter is:
