Christina Cochran Survives Near-death Car Accident by God’s Graces

Car Accident

Recently, this was brought to my attention. One of my friends from High School was in a near-death car accident yesterday. She was driving up in Fresno and swerved and hit a semi-truck. The truck driver died, but she survived with only minor scratches.

“I walked out of that with just a scrape on my arm. My little car ran into a semi, and the driver is dead. And I walked away. I have absolutely no idea how that happened.”

It really scared me to hear of this because of what I went through about 2 years ago. If you don’t know, 2 years ago I was in a near-death car accident myself.

“I put on my brakes and just closed my eyes.”

It truly is amazing what God did and saved her life. God saved my life and He’s doing it again. It makes me remember how many people I had supporting me and showing that they cared about me. Christina has a lot of friends and family. She is important to me and a lot of people I know. She currently is working up at a camp called Hume Lake. A Christian camp that I went to when I was in Middle School. She’s truly a blessing to have in my life and I’m very glad she is still alive. God really did protect her.

“Today, I had my window down instead of turning on the air conditioner. I climbed out the window because I couldn’t get my door open,” she said, shaking her head at how that coincidence helped her get away before her car caught fire. “And we are in range of cell phone service right here. When do you ever get cell phone service on this road?”

A lot of you may say that this all happened by chance, but it didn’t happen by chance. God worked throughout the whole accident. God was there in the start, God was there in the end.

We need to all keep the truck driver’s family and friends in our prayers as well for they need it just as well as Christina. We need to be supportive of all the parties involved with this accident. God really protected Christina and it is truly showing.

god may have worked throughout this accident from her and her family/friends point of view, but doesn’t look like he did from the truck drivers point of view.

God doesn’t work only through saving people, God also works through deaths. Maybe his death is going to make someone else realize how precious life is and that it could go at any moment. There are an endless amount of possibilities to why God chose to let the truck driver die.

People die every day, yet we don’t say that God isn’t work through them. God works in ways we will never understand. He is above our understanding and comprehension.

Jon thanks so much for your comments on the accident. I am lucky and by the grace of God I survived. He does work miracles and I am aware of that now. Last summer I learned how to trust God with my whole heart bc He has my life in His hands. I am so blessed by your support and the support of others. I’m not sure how I would have gotten through this without y’all. God is good!!

Christina, you’re an amazing person and truly a friend that I am blessed to have still with me(us). I know, first hand from my accident, exactly how it goes, that God really does protect and take care of us.

While I am glad that Christina survived, I find it doubtful that the lesson “life is precious” is worth the life of a truck driver. There may be a grand and unfathomable plan that makes everything worth it in the end, but one man’s seemingly random death should not be dismissed as a lesson. His life was worth as much as ours, and deserves notice.

And right you are. I am not dismissing the death of the truck driver. His life was equally as precious as Christina’s life. I would never say death is a lesson for someone. Death is a reality, we are just very fortunate that Christina’s life was spared in the accident.
