Blogged in Events, My Life on Monday May 29, 2006

I went to a wedding last night for one of my friends and we had a great after-party. It totally rocked. So weird that my friends are getting married now…kinda creeps me out a little bit lol

Life in the fast lane

Blogged in Friends, Events, My Life, Concerts, Travel on Monday February 28, 2005

First off, I just want to start off by saying I just wrote a LONG post and it just got erased. But anyway, I will start the real post.

My life has been REALLY crazy lately. Very crazy. So much going on that I don’t even know what to do. Mid-terms are this week. I had my English mid-term today and my Psychology mid-term tomorrow. So please be praying for me that it goes well (at 2:30pm). After the psych mid-term, I’m going to pick up some tickets to the Jars of Clay concert here at APU, so I am excited for that as well.

My crazyness has been due to school work and getting everything done. I have been getting a lot of my work done early so that I do not have to be stressing about them the day they are due. This is sort of a new idea for me and I am enjoying it a lot. Getting my accounting and Exodus/Deuteronomy done was such a relief. I feel like my weekend was spent getting my homework done, which is okay though. That is the reason I am at school here, right? Anyway, my classes are going well so I’m happy about that.

In my web life, well that is a different story altogether. Recently a High School teacher called me up and asked for my help in a business venture that she wants to start up online. So I am adding this to my plate in the next coming months. Along side of that, I recently was e-mailed by a small local APU band here, to do their site. I’m gladly going to accept it if they choose to use me. But to top it off, I’m still working on the COBS site. My load for COBS was taken off a little bit by a gentlemen in Singapore and he is helping me with the content management system that we will be using, that is good news to me. This is one of the reasons that I have not had time to post on here at all, I’ve just been so busy.

In the mist of all this, I am supposed to live. I am supposed to go to classes and still be able to stay healthy. I feel that I have been sick for the past couple of weeks, so I’m going to try to cool down a little bit. Also, GREAT news about my sister. I’M GOING TO BE AN UNCLE!!! I am sooooo excited for her. I have been dreaming of the day that I could one day make the same impact my uncles had on my life, to my future nephews/nieces.

And finally to top off this post, I am prepping for my trip to Egypt and Spain. We will get to visit an organization called Open Doors of Brother Andrews and see some old friends that I met while visiting Holland. I am VERY excited for this trip and look forward to it with much excitement in mind. I will try to keep a daily log of what we do and post it on here when I get back, but we’ll see how possible that will be. I will definitely be taking A LOT of pictures though, so prepare for some pictures when I get back!

I pray everyone is doing well. Sorry if I haven’t had much time to talk to anyone or stay in contact, but as you read, my life has been busy.

Good tidings…

Blogged in Events, My Life on Saturday December 25, 2004

Well, Christmas is winding down now. I’m hoping that everyone had a great Christmas and was able to see some family or friends. My day went well…hmmm well, some of it at least. It started out by being woken up by my father (wasn’t bad, but it was an early start) at 7:30am. (All this happened after NOT sleeping in my own bed because my stupid cat peed in it). Slowly started getting going and finished all the morning stuff. Breakfast came around and that was good. Then people started showing up around 11:30ish or around there. My great grandparents came and then my grandparents showed up. My whole, I mean whole, family was here today. Mom, Dad, Jennifer, Laura, Me, Ramyer, Matthew…mmm it was good. Today was just an overall good day. I hope your holiday season continues to be good :) God bless

Cal Poly Pomona

This week has been nice. It started out with a CRAZY, I mean crazy day…but that’s okay. Things have calmed down a lot since then. I didn’t have work today at all and I got to go to dinner with my mother, my sister Jennifer, my brother-in-law Matthew, and my girlfriend Laura.

Yes, recently Laura and I started dating exclusively so we are now boyfriend-girlfriend. It’s nice to have a girlfriend and to have someone I can trust in what I say. She’s quite a blessing on my life and I hope for the best for us. You may eventually find pictures of us together in my gallery, so keep your eye open for them. Life is going quite well otherwise. Philosophy was canceled tomorrow (sad day), so I won’t be going to it. I have an all day event on Saturday, so my weekend is already booked. Call me up or something though if you want to say hi! Have a great rest of the week.

Dinner Rally & Homecoming

Blogged in Events, My Life on Sunday November 7, 2004

This past week and weekend has been full of surprises and great events. I worked on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, for the dinner rally setup and rehersal. We then had the dinner rally on Friday which was a great success. I felt it ran quite smoothly and without too many problems. The dinner was quite good as well and the company (all the techies) I was with, was quite pleasent. My friend Laura, sister Jennifer, and mother Janet, all had a great time from what they’ve told me. It was good to see them all and for them to be able to spend time together.

The weekend continued with a great list of events on Saturday. I was able to sleep…sleep…oh yeah, sleep…and then finally wake up. Not too much studying was done…or any, because I felt prepared already and that I would have time on Sunday (today), which I will. Saturday night we all (our group of friends [and some parents]) went to the homecoming game. We destroyed the other time, 58-6. It was fun to watch and to hang out with all my friends. We played frisbee a little bit and then afterwards we went over to one of Matthew’s friends apartment. We hung out for about one hour, and then Laura and I grabbed a bite to eat. The night was full of eventful things and I had a great time.

Sunday rolls around and I have work. We had a ‘homecoming Sunday service’ today, which I got to run sound for. It sounded good (at least I think) and Woddy was good today. I went out to lunch with AJ after the service and we watched an episode of Alias. And now I’m back at my mod and am going to study….and yeah…that’s my story for today. Have a great week!

Smooth sailing…on blocks of ice?

Blogged in Events, My Life on Thursday October 28, 2004

How does one sail on blocks of ice? Well, I will tell you. One game, broomball. You sail with shoes on, I hope. Broomball deals with ice, not quite blocks, but very similar. Maybe just one large block of ice…with people on it? Maybe…yes! This past tuesday night, a lot of the Shire residents went out to rink in Ontario to play broomball! It was west vs. east, but as it should have been, west should have won. East won only because they needed a lot the west players to play for them because there weren’t enough (and because east wasn’t good enough to beat west!) My back was a little sore after, but that’s okay…we had so much fun! I will hopefully have pictures of the event up later on my gallery, but I haven’t received any yet for it. I didn’t go to work on wednesday because my back was still bothering me because I wouldn’t be able to lift anything. I went to the doctor just to check it out…and apparently I pulled a muscle in my back. Shouldn’t be too long because I’m back up to full strength.

I had a mid-term in philosophy on tuesday and I think that went quite well. I was given the opportunity to spend some more quality time with this special someone in my life. We went out to coffee and then went around on the town last night (Wednesday), just hanging out. The good times just don’t seem to stop coming…yay for good times! Tonight I am running sound in the student union (Cougar Dome) for 3 different bands. The only band I know of right now specifically, is Tyrone Wells. They will be 3 different acoustic type bands, so it should be a great performance. We’ll see how well I run sound for it though…hopefully I’ll do my best. Concert goes from about 8-10 I believe. I’m there from 7-11, so come around anytime to say hi!

Tomorrow being friday…the weekend will finally be here. I have an accounting test and I feel very prepared for it. I’ll start and finish my history paper due monday as well so I can have a free weekend. I’ll most likely attend CCV on sunday so I can get some more training in for the sound board. This week went quite quickly for me…but that’s good. Time spent with her has been really nice. Well…that’s my update for the day. Have a great end-of-the-week!
