Switchfoot last night

Blogged in Concerts, Music on Saturday July 8, 2006

I drove all the way down to Costa Mesa last night with my friend Megan so we could see Lit and Switchfoot LIVE and it was amazing. Long drive down due to traffic, took us about 3 hours to get down there, but we made it JUST in time for Switchfoot which made it completely worth driving for. It wasn’t too expensive and it was a REALLY good concert..they really know how to put on a show!

Blogged in Humor on Saturday June 24, 2006

I saw this on myspace, thanks to my friend Kris, and had to repost it..

Divorced Barbie

A dad is on his way home a bit late from the office when he realizes that it’s his daughter’s birthday and he has not bought her a gift.

So he stops at a toy store to buy his daughter a Barbie.

Inside he sees a Barbie display and asks the salesgirl how much the Barbies are.

The girl responds: “Which one?

We have:

Gymnasium Barbie: $19.95

Volleyball Barbie: $19.95

Shopping Barbie: $19.95

Surfer Barbie: $19.95

Disco Barbie: $19.95

and Divorced Barbie: $299.95

Shocked, the man asks, “why is Divorced Barbie $299.95 when all the

other Barbies are $19.95?”

Exasperated, the girl responds:

“Sir, Divorced Barbie comes with”:

Ken’s Car

Ken’s House

Ken’s Boat

Ken’s furniture

Ken’s jewelry

Ken’s money

Ken’s computer, and

Ken’s best friend . .

Finally working

Blogged in My Life on Friday June 16, 2006

I finally started up working for the summer. I’ve been doing a lot of work in Visio, SQL Server Manager, Visual Studio, and a few other apps. Our platform is mainly .NET, which I haven’t had any experience with…but it’s been interesting learning.

GreenZap Follow-Up

Blogged in My Life on Monday April 17, 2006

For those who have been visiting this blog and wondering where GreenZap is at, I have some good news to report. While you may all think this is a fraud, I also at times have thought so myself. I recently wanted to test it out just to see if the system worked. I got my ‘Gold’ account and I’m a happy camper. I had $15 in real cash in my account, so I decided to cash it out just to see if they would actually send me the check. Sure enough, just as they had promised, the check showed in my mailbox. I cashed it and it cleared into my account. GreenZap had a shaky start, but I think there is some future for them. If they can bounce back and draw enough attention, they may actually be a successful company. Go ahead and sign-up today :)

Gallery 2.1 - BlackJack

Blogged in My Life on Saturday March 25, 2006

Lots of good stuff in this release. Gallery2 released another version today or yesterday. 2.1 is finally out. What’s so great about this release? One thing I really noticed was the feature of ‘Performance’ functionality. You can change performance based on the user and that is really nice for high-volume sites. While I don’t have any high-volume sites, it will be a nice addition for everyone.
